Kellerman's SPOILER-FILLED Thoughts on Captain America: Brave New World

Here are just some thoughts I had that I couldn’t incorporate in my spoiler-free review. DO NOT READ if you haven’t seen the movie yet!

• Captain America specifically asks the President to extend the invite to Isaiah… and then Isaiah tries to kill the president… yet nobody suspects Captain America of being involved. (Even though Ross’s relationship with him is consistently on thin ice.)

• Ross never really loses his temper during the movie until suddenly he’s Hulking out.

• The Leader has remote mind control technology that uses your cell phone. The president and Captain America are CONSTANTLY using their phones. Why didn’t he just mind control them at any point to do what he wanted?

• Bruce Banner not even APPEARING in this movie is a crime.

• Giancarlo Esposito’s talents - totally wasted in this minor role.

• Harrison Ford’s ears were distracting.

• They figure out the song is activating people pretty quickly. Why wouldn’t you just play that song every time you walk into a room? They do it once… and that’ sit.

• They also go to a top secret facility to investigate… in plain clothes? Why wouldn’t you wear your Captain America gear? Sam is not a super soldier, why would he go anywhere without his suit?

• The best surprise of the movie was the introduction of Adamantium… which, as we all know, is what Wolverine has implanted around his skeleton as well as various other Weapon X experiments. So… they’re planting the seeds for a future X-Men movie here.

• Also The Leader’s make-up was… not quite right. It’s supposed to be like his brain has grown beyond the size of his skull. Instead he’s just got a lumpy head. He looks more like the Toxic Avenger than the Leader.
